Ivar did a great job fixing the concealed damage that Home Consignment Center in Foothill Ranch attempted to hide on a couch I purchased. They botched the job and got caught and refused to take the couch back.

Regrettably, my cat also loves snuggling up with me while I’m sitting on my leather furniture and has done tremendous damage to various chairs; especially my red leather recliner. Ivar cleaned and repaired my Hancock and Moore sectional, and it looks brand new! The arms and cushions were very scratched from my dogs. His work is impeccable, and I am a perfectionist. Ivar saved my life! Got hair color on a leather chair in my salon, and the cleaning product I used made white streaks on the leather as well so I was double screwed! Ivar, the owner asked for details and pictures of our leather loveseat. We needed more stuffing added, as the recliners had lost their firmness. It was quite a process as he needed to turn them over and take them apart. It took quite awhile to do this process. Ivar and team just finished restoring our two 22-year old leather couches. The overall state of these couches was terrible, to put it plainly. All six cushions were dried up and dirty, with holes on some of the cushions. One of the couches had a giant tear on the backrest…it was actually this specific damage that made me realize I need to either get new couches or get both restored. I figured it couldn’t hurt to inquire as to how much a restoration would cost…so went on Yelp and immediately found Leather Repair OC.<\/p>

Ivar is a pleasure to work with. I cannot say this enough! The website is pretty straight forward. You can contact Ivar via the website by providing your info, a description of what needs to be done, and (most importantly) photos of the project. Ivar got back to me in less than 24 hrs via email and requested more photos, at different angles, so he can better assess the damage. He’s very quick to respond! After further photos, he was able to provide me with a very reasonable quote–so reasonable that I knew restoration was the right way to go!<\/p>

The day of restoration, Ivar and his assistant arrived 10 mins early and immediately got to work. Both were very polite and kind (Ivar was very patient with our dog who was just mad dogging them the entire time because he’s such a guard dog) and they were laser focused on their work. The results were just AMAZING. The couch looks new! The large tear on the couch disappeared! Each cushion came out looking smooth and looked so dang good! It is BEAUTIFUL WORK!<\/p>

OUTSTANDING WORKMANSHIP ! After Ivar the owner sorted out some unstitched leather under the left arm ( due to wear & tear ) of one of our recliner sofas we decided to pay him to rejuvenate the appearance of the same 2 seater recliner sofa…..the one we sit in most of the time. AND HE DID ! Ivar and his assistant Ronald arrived at 10am on Tuesday to carry out the makeover. Ivar is a total pro and knows exactly what he is doing. After around 2 hours of dexterous cleaning and resurfacing the job was complete. AMAZING ! Our beloved 21 year old cream leather 2 seater recliner sofa looked virtually identical to it’s 3 seater recliner sofa big brother. In fact Ivar did such a good job we will probably engage him to spruce up the 3 seater recliner sofa which is used mainly for house guests. WHATTA WINNER !

We have had this leather sectional in or family room for over 20 years, through 2 boys growing up, 5 cats (over the years) and over those years, tears started small then grew into holes in 2 of the attached seat cushions and one of the arms. I had tried several “repair kits” found online or on late night commercials, and honestly it made the holes look even worse. I bought some material to cover them, but never got further than tucking it around the cushions. I was not prepared to replace it and so I contacted several businesses to get pricing on fixing the holes and Ivar Vankemenade of Leather Repair OC was the only one to return my call. He gave me a very fair price, arrived with his equipment when he said he would and in a couple of hours, he had the holes repaired and looking far nicer than I expected. He was very thorough, and although one of the holes was very large and missing material, the patching material seems to be standing up well. I would not hesitate to recommend Ivar to anyone!
